Hall’s Mica Hardware have celebrated their 25th year in business in style this month with a bonanza weekend and feature coverage in the local press.
Already one of the areas oldest and best known shops, the Hall’s team of Joyce & Harry have an unrivalled offering in the local area. Long serving members of staff Jean Robinson & Laraine French worked at the store prior to Hall’s buying the shop, and now between them have over a 100 years experience instore. The stores reputation for product knowledge, customer service and really ‘knowing’ their customers is unparalleled.
The store celebrated over the weekend of the 25-27th April with special offers, a charity raffle & giveaways to customers to thank them for their loyal business over a quarter of a century.
The store is celebrating its Silver anniversary in the same year it took Silver at the National Hardware Retailer of the Year Awards, recognising the continued hard work and innovation of the whole team.
Record breaking sales figures in this time of austerity for businesses and consumers alike have bolstered the store, which despite its heritage continues to innovate.
Joyce commented...
“When we took over the store we knew we couldn’t afford to stand still and knew we needed to modernise...We introduced EPOS computerised stock control & have gradually expanded into lots of new areas.”
In recent years they have also undergone a refit of shelving, layout & lighting, and have expanded their shop floor area.
Founder members of Mica, Hall’s promote monthly and base their large window displays around the months promotional special offers.
Harry & Joyce were unable to attend this years Mica Exchange due to Harry having a serious operation from which he has now made a full recovery. As a result they were unable to collect the Mica Member award for purchasing commitment (by %) so earlier this month (and once the snow had finally melted off High Peak) Mica CEO Steve Ball visited the store to congratulate them and present the award.
