The Dulux Promise: “We promise our paint will give you the perfect colour with a uniform finish and the coverage stated, or we’ll replace it.”

Mica is a proud partner of Dulux Paints, with most Independent Mica stores stocking a variety of Dulux products. Many also offer the Dulux colour mixing service, meaning literally thousands of colours are available in a range of finishes and sizes at your local store.
In addition, this year Dulux have launched a generous guarantee that goes above and beyond what other paint manufacturers will offer:

Dulux promise that their paints:

  1. Will be the perfect colour
  2. Will have a uniform finish
  3. Will fill the coverage stated

If you find that after you have painted a wall with a Dulux product that you don’t love the final colour, that the finish isn’t uniform, or the coverage doesn’t go as far as you had expected - you are entitled to a voucher from Dulux directly to replace your paint product

To be very clear, you cannot simply return the tin to your store of purchase and ask for another.

Dulux are offering this promise because they are confident you will be satisfied with their product, but if you are not they want to hear about it directly, and will post you a voucher in receipt of a valid claim based on the below procedure.

So in the unlikely event you find your Dulux product didn’t meet the terms of their guarantee; these are the steps you need to take:
Firstly contact the AkzoNobel (Dulux’s parent company) Customer Advice Centre within 6 months of your purchase - you can do this via email or by post. You will need to provide a copy of your sale receipt showing the itemised detail of the product as well as price paid and date of purchase. Additionally you should include a description of your issue, the postcode of the address at which the selected product was applied, a photograph of the painted walls, the batch number printed on the can and finally your name and home address where the voucher should be sent.

With a validated claim your voucher should arrive within 28 days from which you will be able to redeem against an equivalent Dulux product at participating Mica retailers within 6 months following the date of issue.
